Sejong City Certifies 15 Graduates from Population Education Instructor Training Program

The Sejong-style Population Education Instructor Training Course has concluded, with participants successfully completing the program. The training course was conducted over a total of 12 sessions from August to October, aiming to enhance citizens' understanding of demographic changes such as low birth rates and an aging society, and to strengthen local citizens' capabilities through tailored population education.

At the completion ceremony held at the Sejong Lifelong Education Center on October 15, 15 trainees received certificates of completion. They successfully completed all aspects of the course, which included understanding demographic structure changes, setting directions for population policy, and developing teaching and learning plans, thereby strengthening their population education competencies.

Starting next month and continuing through December, the graduates will provide population education to elementary, middle, and high schools in the region. The program is designed to help students understand how demographic changes affect their lives and local communities, and to encourage them to reflect on the values of family and community through population education tailored to local characteristics.

An official from the city said, "We hope that the population education instructors trained through this program will share the seriousness of population issues with citizens and seek new ways to respond to the population crisis," adding, "We will continue to actively promote population policies in collaboration with citizens."
