19 Outstanding North Gyeongsang Companies Selected as Official Sponsors for Gyeongju APEC Summit... Hwangnam Bread, Ulleungsaemmul Included

It was announced on October 15 that products from 19 outstanding companies in North Gyeongsang Province have been selected as official sponsors for the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week, which will be held from October 27 to November 1, 2025.

After a rigorous review by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the excellent companies and products from North Gyeongsang Province selected as sponsors include: ① Gyeongju Local Food's handcrafted Sikhye and Sujeonggwa, ② Gyeongju Livestock Cooperative's Cheonnyeon Hanwoo beef jerky, ③ Danseokga's glutinous barley bread, ④ Mijeong's rice noodles, ⑤ Sangbokmyeonggwawon’s traditional desserts (Gyeongju bread, glutinous barley bread, cinnamon bread, green tea bread), ⑥ Hobanjang's red bean bread, ⑦ Hwangnam bread, ⑧ Seongwang E&F’s wooden pen and plate, ⑨ Seyoung Information & Communications’ tour guide communication equipment, ⑩ Rojin's Sobaeksan Mountain spring water, ⑪ Yeongju Agricultural Products Distribution Center’s North Gyeongsang apples and apple juice, ⑫ Hanul’s dried sweet potato, sweet potato sticks, and ready-to-eat sweet potato, ⑬ Dami’s daily ceramic tableware set, ⑭ Daebon’s traditional tea bags (lotus root tea, Jerusalem artichoke tea, burdock tea, sword bean tea, balloon flower tea, lotus leaf tea), ⑮ Danmijeong’s rice cakes, Bionotech’s basic cosmetics set, Honest’s travel kit (toiletries), Ulleungsaemmul’s Ullim Water spring water, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services’ Munja apples.

During the summit, approximately 20,000 attendees-including leaders and delegations from 21 member economies, businesspeople, and journalists-are expected to visit Gyeongju. The sponsored products will be used in various venues such as the conference hall, media center, accommodations, and tourism programs.

Kim Sangcheol, head of the North Gyeongsang Province APEC Summit Preparation Support Team, stated, "North Gyeongsang Province has made significant efforts to ensure that outstanding local companies could be selected as sponsors for the 2025 APEC Summit. We hope that by fully leveraging the opportunity of hosting the 2025 APEC Summit in our region, we can enhance global recognition and competitiveness."

Meanwhile, the companies selected as sponsors will be officially announced as "Official Sponsors of the 2025 APEC Summit Week" on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' "APEC 2025 KOREA" website. They will also be granted the privilege of using the official emblem, which is inspired by the face-patterned roof tile known as the "Smile of a Thousand Years" (Treasure No. 2010), in their promotional marketing.
