Guri City Holds 'Key Project Progress Report Meeting'
Review of 40 Major Projects Including GTX-B Galmae Station Stop
Focusing on Key Issues and Accelerating Project Implementation
Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on the 15th that it held the 'Key Project Progress Report Meeting' on the 13th at the situation room on the 3rd floor of city hall to review the progress of major priority projects.

This meeting was organized to generate tangible results that citizens can experience and to accelerate project implementation. Key executives, including Mayor Baek Kyunghyun, the vice mayor, directors of bureaus and departments, and heads of the 12 departments responsible for each project, attended the meeting.
On this day, the city shared the progress of a total of 40 key projects, discussed issues and improvement measures for each project, and focused on strengthening interdepartmental collaboration.
Of the 40 projects reported, 21 projects-about 53%-are being smoothly carried out with the aim of completion or groundbreaking within the 8th popularly elected administration. The remaining projects will also be expedited, for example by streamlining administrative procedures, to enhance citizens' sense of progress.
Major priority projects include: the Inchangcheon Ecological Stream Restoration Project; GTX-B Galmae Station stop; construction of combined community centers in Inchang-dong and Galmae-dong; new construction of the Sutaek 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center; construction of a public parking lot at Geombaegreen Park; creation of a historical street from Donggureung to Doldari Intersection; and the Achasan Barrier-Free Sharing Trail Project.
In particular, the Inchangcheon Ecological Stream Restoration Project is regarded as a prime example of fiscal efficiency, having secured 85% of its total project cost of 47.5 billion won from external sources such as provincial funds and the Hangang Watershed Management Fund.
Mayor Baek Kyunghyun of Guri City emphasized, "The speed and quality of administration directly determine citizen satisfaction," and urged, "All public officials must take responsibility and carry out each project swiftly and thoroughly."
