The Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion (BISTEP, President Kim Youngbu) announced on October 15 that its science and technology and industry information mailing service, "Daily Pick," has surpassed 10,000 subscribers, establishing itself as a leading platform for delivering regional science, technology, and industry information to innovation leaders nationwide.
"Daily Pick" is a customized information service launched in 2019 to overcome users' access limitations amid an overwhelming volume of information. Excluding public holidays, it provides timely updates on research and development and industry-related news approximately 225 times a year.
Through this service, researchers, businesspeople, and public institution officials in the region have been able to receive essential information in a timely manner, helping to bridge the information gap.
This milestone of reaching 10,000 subscribers is seen as the result of BISTEP's ongoing efforts to improve and expand the service.
In particular, Daily Pick has continuously enhanced its quality through annual subscriber satisfaction surveys, with a strong focus on field-driven information curation. Starting in 2025, the service will further expand its coverage by including R&D event schedules and overseas R&D policy trends, which has been met with a positive response.
