Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership Signs MOU with Lotte Duty Free for ESG Support Program for Partner Companies

50 Million Won Contributed to Mutual Growth Fund

The Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership announced on the 15th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lotte Duty Free to promote an ESG support program for partner companies.

The commission's ESG support program for partner companies aims to provide practical support measures to help small and medium-sized partners that face difficulties in establishing ESG management systems strengthen their capabilities across the areas of environment, social responsibility, and governance. The two organizations have continued their win-win cooperation for three consecutive years to enhance the ESG capabilities of their partner SMEs.

This year, Lotte Duty Free will once again contribute 50 million won to the mutual growth fund and will provide both online and offline training, as well as at least two on-site inspections, to a total of 10 interested partner companies. Through these efforts, the company will assess each company's ESG status and offer tailored consulting services.

In the environmental sector, practical cost-saving measures such as improving energy efficiency, reducing waste, and introducing eco-friendly packaging materials will be implemented. In the social sector, the focus will be on spreading a people-centered organizational culture through improvements in working conditions and the introduction of human rights and safety management systems. In the governance sector, transparent management environments will be fostered by revising internal regulations and establishing ethical management systems.

The commission will oversee the planning and operation of this support program, and will provide tangible incentives by issuing an 'ESG Excellent SME Certificate' in its name to small and medium-sized companies that demonstrate outstanding ESG performance.

Through this agreement, we hope that small and medium-sized partners will develop ESG capabilities that meet global standards, and that Lotte Duty Free's leading practices will spread throughout the industry."
