October 17-19: Diverse Performances and Hands-on Programs for Residents
Gijang County (County Governor Jung Jongbok) will host the “2025 Gijang County Lifelong Learning Expo” from October 17 to 19 at Jungang Park in Jeonggwan-eup, organized and supervised by Busan Digital University and Carrot Global.
This event serves as an opportunity for lifelong learning participants to share the achievements they have cultivated with local residents. It is expected to become a festival that celebrates the joy of lifelong learning through a variety of hands-on programs and exhibitions.
On October 17, the “Lifelong Learning & Jeonggwan-eup Residents’ Autonomy Harmony Festival” stage will feature poetry recitations, dance, and choir performances by students of Gijang County Citizens’ University.
From October 18 to 19, there will be exhibitions of student works such as folk paintings and pen drawings, as well as hands-on booths where residents can experience lifelong learning courses firsthand, including a global photo zone & DIY activities, coffee art filled with fragrance, personalized calligraphy hand mirrors, and macrame keyring making.
This expo will also feature a promotional booth for “Lifelong Learning City for People with Disabilities,” introducing lifelong learning programs for people with disabilities and offering opportunities to experience an inclusive learning environment where people with and without disabilities learn together.
A Gijang County official stated, “We hope this expo will provide an opportunity for residents to directly experience and participate in the value of lifelong learning,” adding, “We look forward to many residents visiting the site and sharing in the joy of learning together.”
