IP (Intellectual Property) strategy startup B2Win announced on October 15 that it has launched 'AIEM Search,' the world's first interactive patent search platform.
AIEM Search is a platform that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to help users easily and intuitively search for and understand patent information. With its natural language-based conversational interface, not only researchers and developers but even elementary school students can use it with ease.
This platform addresses the inconvenience of the traditional Boolean search method, which required users to input every possible expression of the same concept, such as 'cell phone,' 'mobile phone,' 'cellular phone,' or 'mobile communication device.' When users ask questions in natural language-such as 'Find me the foundational patents related to bispecific antibodies' or 'Find anticancer technologies derived from natural substances that have been tested in mice'-the AI analyzes the technical and industrial context of patents according to the user's intent and presents the results.
AIEM Search is regarded as a prime example of the government's AI convergence policy across all sectors, as it implements vertical (specialized) AI that enhances the usability of expert information by combining patent expertise with AI technology. Because it can be used at every stage, from idea generation and patent risk management to technology development planning, it is expected to accelerate innovation across industries.
Kim Jooyeon, CEO of B2Win, said, "AIEM Search will create an environment where anyone can easily access patents, thereby improving IP literacy. We hope this will expand the demand for high-quality patent services and provide a foundation for patent attorneys to focus their capabilities on supporting industrial development in their core roles."
Meanwhile, to celebrate its launch, AIEM Search is currently offering a seven-day free trial and a one-year subscription promotion for 100,000 won to new subscribers.
