Maston Investment Management, an alternative investment-focused asset management company, is actively working to strengthen communication and collaboration with Millennials & Gen Z, aiming to build intergenerational understanding. From internal organizational culture innovation to operating external university student programs, the company is expanding its engagement with younger generations in various ways, leading new changes within the industry.


On October 15, Maston Investment Management announced that it had held the closing ceremony for the second cohort of its university student reporter group, "Maston Sportlighter." Certificates of completion were awarded to students who produced outstanding text and visual content and participated enthusiastically. In addition, special awards were given to top performers who demonstrated exceptional abilities in conducting interviews with employees and planning and creating content during the program, recognizing their efforts.

Previously, in July, Maston Investment Management launched the second cohort of "Maston Sportlighter," an external activity program designed for university students from Generation Z. The program aims to help them better understand the commercial real estate market and create content based on Maston Investment Management’s diverse investment portfolio, corporate culture, and management philosophy.


This university student reporter group program, the first of its kind in the real estate asset management industry, received significant attention and praise both inside and outside the industry for its innovative planning and high-quality execution during its first cohort. Typically, university student reporter group programs are run by large corporate groups in collaboration with external marketing agencies for corporate branding and recruitment promotion. In contrast, this program was independently planned and operated by Maston Investment Management’s Brand Strategy Team, leveraging its own network and expertise, which distinguishes it from others.


Furthermore, during the employee interview process, the program went beyond simply introducing work responsibilities, providing practical mentoring on career planning and development, and offering valuable experiences to participating students.


Earlier this year, Maston Investment Management successfully hosted "M.Z Dialogue," a new paradigm for intergenerational communication. "M.Z Dialogue" is a communication program designed to strengthen interaction between Maston Investment Management (M) and employees from Generation Z. This special lunch talk program was created to foster empathy with digital native Generation Z recruits and drive organizational culture innovation, serving as a platform for horizontal communication and the sharing of wisdom across generations.


Strengthening intergenerational communication is also connected to the company’s open recruitment system for new employees. Since 2021, Maston Investment Management has conducted open recruitment to nurture professionals in alternative investment asset management and contribute to market development. Few alternative investment asset management companies operate such open recruitment systems, highlighting Maston Investment Management’s commitment to talent development.


This year’s recruitment was carried out as part of a long-term investment to proactively secure outstanding talent who will drive the company’s future growth and innovation. Even at a time when many companies are focused on downsizing and layoffs, Maston Investment Management continues to invest in future growth and innovation, establishing itself as a company that grows alongside young and innovative talent who will shape the future of alternative investments.

It also partnered with a university student sustainable management society to host a talk concert titled "Beyond Investment."
