This contest is a joint project by North Jeolla Province, Muju County, and Jeonju University. Under the theme 'Muju County, Designing Taekwondo,' it aims to discover creative goods ideas that combine the region's identity with the cultural value of Taekwondo.

In particular, by developing products that integrate the educational value and experiential aspects of Taekwondo, the goal is to promote the practical expansion of the Taekwondo HUB industry and strengthen the competitiveness of the 'Taekwondo City Muju' brand.

The contest is divided into two categories. The first, a participatory category for tourists, seeks ideas for educational and hands-on goods focused on experience, such as DIY kits, coloring, embroidery, and assembly-type products.

The second category focuses on finished products that express the symbolism and artistic value of Taekwondo through design, including figures, accessories, and commemorative objects, emphasizing exhibition and design-oriented goods planning.

The contest is open to all citizens nationwide, either individually or as a group. Anyone can submit creative ideas reflecting regional characteristics, regardless of their experience with Taekwondo.

Applications will be accepted via email until November 10, with the application form available for download on the Jeonju University Department of Taekwondo website. Participants who pass the first document screening (on November 14) will advance to the final round, which will be held as an oral presentation on November 29 at the Muju SangSang Bandi Forest in Muju County. The final awards ceremony will also take place on the same day.

Awards will be given as follows: Grand Prize (1 person, 1 million won), Excellence Prize (2 people, 700,000 won each), Merit Prize (4 people, 500,000 won each), and Encouragement Prize (3 people, 200,000 won each). Winners will also receive a commendation from Muju County.

The winning entries will be utilized in future Taekwondo experience and education programs, HUB Center exhibition content, and goods commercialization projects organized by the Jeonju University RISE Project Group.

Meanwhile, the Department of Taekwondo at Jeonju University aims to expand both the artistic and industrial potential of Taekwondo through this contest, while fostering a sustainable creative ecosystem linked to the region's cultural and tourism resources.

By providing practical opportunities for young people and local residents to participate, the department intends to continue serving as a key hub for the 'Taekwondo-centered Regional Innovation' initiatives promoted by North Jeolla Province and Muju County, and to establish a collaborative model for shared growth between the region and the university.
