Hana Bank announced on the morning of October 14 that it had signed a business agreement with Incheon Metropolitan City at Incheon City Hall for the joint operation of the "Incheon Foreign Culture Bank."
This agreement was established to provide a hub where foreigners residing in Incheon can integrate into the local community and achieve self-reliance through financial and cultural engagement.
First, Hana Bank will support foreigners in easily understanding and utilizing domestic financial services by providing ▲ education on preventing financial fraud, ▲ hands-on digital finance training programs specifically for foreigners, and ▲ customized financial services.
In addition, in cooperation with Incheon City and operating organizations, the bank will jointly promote ▲ step-by-step Korean language education for settlement and employment support, ▲ support for community activities such as multinational clubs, ▲ education on Korean values and lifestyle culture, and ▲ a variety of cultural experience programs to help foreigners naturally settle into the local community.
Notably, this hub will be established at the Hana Bank Namdong Industrial Complex Financial Center branch, making it easily accessible for foreign workers in the industrial complex. By operating as a Sunday branch, the bank has improved accessibility so that foreign workers who find it difficult to visit on weekdays can conveniently access financial services.
Lee Hosung, CEO of Hana Bank, stated, "Through the Incheon Foreign Culture Bank, we will support foreign residents so they can quickly establish themselves as members of the local community," adding, "We aim to become a leading bank that encompasses finance, culture, and the local community."
Meanwhile, in addition to the Incheon Foreign Culture Bank, Hana Bank previously launched the Cheonan Station Global Community Center in 2019 and the Daejeon Foreign Resident Integration Support Center in 2021. The bank plans to continue expanding support hubs for foreign and multicultural residents across the country, fulfilling both its core financial role and its social value.
