Responding to Changes in College Admissions
Strengthening Career and Academic Advancement Skills
The Yeongdeok County Education Development Committee in North Gyeongsang Province will operate the "Parent Education Academy" to effectively respond to the rapidly changing college entrance environment and to strengthen the educational capabilities of parents.
This academy, targeting local middle and high school students and their parents, aims not only to provide accurate information on changes in the college entrance system, but also to help students develop the insight and ability to independently select and apply appropriate admission strategies.
In particular, it is expected to be highly beneficial for college admissions by presenting specific strategies to respond to the high school credit system, which will be fully implemented starting with the 2028 academic year college entrance process.
The educational program will take place over four sessions, held on Mondays and Wednesdays between October 27 and November 5. Each session will run for two hours from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The venue is the "Yeongdeok Future Talent Training Center," which will officially open in January next year.
The instructor will be the CEO of Kium Edu, who is currently operating an after-school high school learning program in cooperation with the committee, and will provide practical and concrete college entrance preparation strategies from an admissions expert's perspective.
Applications can be submitted until October 24 through the Yeongdeok County Education Support Team or by scanning the QR code on the application guide notice.
Kim Kwangyeol, chairman of the Yeongdeok County Education Development Committee (and Yeongdeok County Governor), stated, "Through this program, I believe parents will gain a better understanding of the changing admissions system and be able to prepare effectively based on accurate information. This will enhance their adaptability to college entrance and reduce dependence on private education and related costs. We will do our best to expand educational infrastructure and develop programs so that local students can dream about their future and grow in a better educational environment."
