The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art announced on October 14 that it will host the new public-participation concert, "MMCA x LG Electronics 'Connected: Bridging Technology and Art'," on October 29 at 6:00 p.m. at the outdoor sculpture garden of the museum's Seoul venue.

This event will feature a variety of programs open to all generations at the outdoor sculpture garden of the Seoul venue. Renowned figures from diverse fields-including AI, VR, BCI-based convergence art, AI empathy intelligence, fashion, and exhibition planning-will be invited to participate in a talk concert, live concert, and other interactive events. Organized in collaboration with LG Electronics, the event will consist of Part 1, the "Talk Concert," at 6:00 p.m., Part 2, the "Live Concert," at 7:30 p.m., and a range of participatory activities.
The first part, the "Talk Concert," will explore the theme, "How Can AI Technology and Art Be Connected?" Experts from various fields will deliver presentations and engage in discussions. Lucid Fall, an engineering Ph.D. as well as a music, film, and exhibition music director, will serve as moderator. Lee Jinjoon, professor at KAIST Graduate School of Culture Technology and director of the Art and Technology (KATEC) Center, will give the keynote address.
Following this, presentations on "Cases Where Technology and Art Are Utilized" will be delivered by Choi Hoyoung, team leader at LG Electronics AI Research Institute who has worked in product planning in the AI and mobility industries; fashion designer Hannah Shin, who presents innovative fashion by integrating cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing AI with traditional craft techniques; and Hong Iji, curator at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, who researches cultural phenomena in response to changes in digital media and creative environments. Finally, a participant discussion will be held on "Current AI Issues and Future Possibilities." There will be 300 seats available for the talk, with 150 LG Electronics VIP customers and 150 museum members invited. Advance reservations can be made on the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art website starting from 2:00 p.m. on October 14.
The second part, the "Live Concert," will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the theme "Sound, Art, Technology Connected," taking place on the sculpture garden stage. The first act will feature a live performance by SUMIN, an all-around artist active as a producer, singer-songwriter, and creative director. The second act will welcome Kirara, an electronic musician who holds a unique position in the Korean electronic music scene and is known for spreading the "joy of music," with a DJ performance. The finale will be delivered by the band Glen Check, acclaimed for their sophisticated sound and striking visual direction, recipients of consecutive Korean Music Awards in the electronic music category for "Haute Couture" and "Youth!," and active at domestic and international festivals with their experimental music and global sensibility. The "Live Concert" will be an outdoor standing event, open to all without reservation.
Meanwhile, on October 29, which falls on the last Wednesday of the month, admission to all exhibitions at the Seoul venue will be free. Visitors can enjoy the "MMCA x LG OLED Series 2025-Autumn: Agamon Encyclopedia-External Edition," the "Kim Tschang-Yeul" retrospective sponsored by LG Electronics, as well as the MMCA Seoul permanent exhibition "Highlights of Korean Modern Art," "Artist of the Year 2025," and "Mind_Spring," among others.
As a leading electronics brand, LG Electronics is sponsoring the retrospective of the late artist Kim Tschang-Yeul at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, and is screening videos featuring his works at LG Best Shop stores.
