KT Holds First CEO Meeting with Palantir in Korea: "Expanding Palantir Platform Nationwide"

"KT-Palantir Collaboration Will Become a Model Case of AX Success"

KT held its first CEO meeting in South Korea with Palantir, a global artificial intelligence (AI) platform company. The two companies discussed ways to expand the adoption of Palantir's platform within domestic industries.

KT announced that on October 14, CEO Youngsub Kim met with Palantir CEO Alex Karp at the KT Gwanghwamun Building to review the results of their ongoing efforts to implement the Palantir platform and to refine their execution strategy for expanding its use among domestic companies.

Previously, in March, KT became the first company in South Korea to earn Palantir's "Premium Partner" status through a partnership agreement.

To verify the effectiveness of the Palantir platform, KT has established a cloud-based work environment and is applying Palantir Foundry and the AI Platform (AIP) to select departments. Foundry and AIP are platforms that analyze corporate data using AI to support decision-making. Through these platforms, large-scale data generated during work can be analyzed and visualized in real time, helping departments develop and execute their strategies.

As a result, KT has acquired consulting and technical capabilities necessary for building and utilizing the platform. Based on the proven implementation results and platform utilization capabilities, the two companies plan to offer a "full package" service that enables domestic customers to use the Palantir platform in a cloud environment. They also emphasized that a security-focused service is being designed for customers in the financial and public sectors, who primarily handle sensitive data.

Youngsub Kim, CEO of KT, stated, "The collaboration between KT and Palantir will become a successful case of AX innovation in South Korea's major industries. We will support the spread of effective, AI- and data-driven decision-making across various industrial sectors."

Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir, said, "KT is the best partner for Palantir to achieve results in South Korea. Our collaboration is a critical process for realizing secure, cloud-based data utilization and industry-specific innovation, and we will continue to strengthen our partnership going forward."

Meanwhile, KT also hosted the second "AX Leader Summit" to coincide with CEO Karp's visit to South Korea. The AX Leader Summit is a forum for top executives from major corporations leading AI transformation (AX) in their industries to engage with global business leaders. This year's event was attended by Woo Keehong, CEO of Korean Air; Yongbeom Kim, Vice Chairman of Meritz Financial Group; Jaekyun Koo, Chairman of LS Electric; and Jutae Lee, CEO of POSCO Holdings, among others.
