Starting October 15, 2025, Gyeonggi Province will provide national influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations for residents aged 65 and older through April 30, 2026.

The vaccinations for seniors will be conducted by age group: those aged 75 and older can receive their shots beginning October 15, those aged 70 and older from October 20, and those aged 65 and older from October 22.

Vaccinations are available at designated medical institutions and public health centers nationwide, regardless of residence (advance confirmation is required before visiting). Information on nearby designated medical institutions can be found on the Vaccination Helper website (nip.kdca.go.kr). A valid ID must be presented at the time of vaccination.

Gyeonggi Province explained that the purpose of this vaccination campaign is to protect the health of high-risk groups and minimize the spread of infectious diseases in preparation for the possible simultaneous outbreak of influenza and COVID-19 during the winter season.

Vaccination is a highly effective means of reducing hospitalizations and deaths caused by influenza and COVID-19, as well as lowering the overall disease burden. Those aged 65 and older are especially recommended to receive both vaccines at the same time.

Yoo Youngcheol, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Health and Wellness Bureau, stated, "As winter approaches, we strongly encourage seniors to receive influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations to protect their health," adding, "We hope everyone will participate in vaccination to ensure a healthy winter."
