This training, which follows the first session held in the first half of this year, was the second of its kind and covered practical topics such as the local election schedule, provisions prohibiting preliminary election campaigning, and examples of violations of the Public Official Election Act. In particular, the training emphasized case-based learning to help policy support officers reduce legal risks while assisting assembly members in their legislative activities.
Chairman Kim Taekyun stated, "I hope this will help policy support officers and staff deepen their understanding of the Public Official Election Act, prevent unnecessary misunderstandings, and support stable legislative activities for assembly members."
Meanwhile, the council plans to continue strengthening the practical skills and expertise of policy support officers through regular training and workshops in the future.
