Carrie Strom, who will now oversee Hugel's global operations, served as Senior Vice President at AbbVie and Global President of Allergan Aesthetics for five years from May 2020 to February this year. After joining Allergan (now AbbVie) in 2011, she led an aesthetics portfolio worth $5 billion (approximately 7.1 trillion won), including botulinum toxin Botox and HA filler Juvederm, across more than 50 countries. Previously, she was Senior Vice President of Allergan’s U.S. medical aesthetics division and spent 11 years at Pfizer as a sales and marketing expert.

“I am delighted to work with Hugel’s talented and dedicated employees and board of directors,” said Carrie Strom. “Based on our leadership in Korea, my top priority will be to elevate the standards of service we provide to customers and patients worldwide, positioning Hugel as a leading company in the global aesthetics market.”

Hugel is rapidly expanding its influence in the global market, currently operating toxin products in 69 countries and fillers in 53 countries. In particular, after obtaining FDA approval in February last year for 50-unit and 100-unit botulinum toxin Letibotox, the company officially entered the U.S. market this year, which accounts for over 50% of the global toxin market. The recruitment of Carrie Strom is expected to further accelerate Hugel's visible business achievements in the U.S. starting this year and add strong momentum to its global expansion strategy, with North America at the forefront.

Cha Seokyong, Chairman of the Board at Hugel, stated, “Carrie Strom is an expert who has driven change with her extensive experience in the global medical aesthetics industry. We expect that she will maximize Hugel’s future value during this critical transition to becoming a global company, especially in the Americas.”
