Training Center Leading Practical Education for On-Site Experts
15th Employment Training Program Applications Open Until December 7
The Nuclear Power Plant Workforce Training Center (Director Lee Insik), established to foster on-site technical personnel for the nuclear power plant and electric power industries, will be accepting applications for the 15th employment training program for 2026 from October 13 to December 7.
The training program being offered this time consists of three courses: nondestructive testing, electrical control, and materials convergence (welding). The courses will run for approximately three months, from January 5 to April 10, 2026.
The training is completely free of charge. Trainees will be provided with dormitory accommodation, as well as support for textbooks, practice materials, work uniforms, and safety shoes. In addition, both training and employment incentives will be provided.
To support trainees in finding employment, special programs such as resume writing, VR-based interview training, and career counseling will be offered. The center is also expanding employment opportunities through industry-academia cooperation with about 51 companies related to nuclear power and other sectors.
Since its opening in June 2019, the center has been jointly funded by North Gyeongsang Province, Gyeongju City, and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power to supply outstanding talent to the nuclear power industry, address youth and middle-aged unemployment, and enhance the safety of nuclear power plant operations. The employment rate for graduates of the training program is 81%, and the certification acquisition rate is 90%.
Applicants should access the center's website, sign up as a member, and submit their application through the 'Employment Training Program' section in the QUICK MENU.
