Serving as the Exclusive Knowledge Partner
Participation of Deloitte Global Leaders as Speakers
Deloitte, the world's largest accounting and consulting firm, announced on the 13th that it will serve as the Exclusive Knowledge Partner for the 'APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025,' which will be held from October 28 to 31 at the Gyeongju Arts Center in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province. Deloitte will provide global insights on the transformation of future high-tech industries, including artificial intelligence (AI) and digital, bio-health, and finance and investment.
The APEC CEO Summit is a major side event of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, which brings together the leaders of 21 member economies, including the United States, China, Japan, and Russia. It is the largest annual business forum in the Asia-Pacific region. This year's summit is expected to attract more than 1,000 global business leaders and high-ranking officials from APEC member countries.
As the summit's knowledge partner, Deloitte is playing a key role in setting the overall agenda, leveraging its expertise in AI, digital transformation, and sustainability. Key global leaders from Deloitte, including David Hill, Deloitte Asia Pacific CEO; Nitin Mittal, Deloitte Global AI Leader; and Dr. Bernhard Lorentz, Deloitte Global Climate & Infrastructure Leader, will participate as speakers. Through keynote speeches and panel sessions, they will share strategies and insights tailored to each industry. In addition, Deloitte partners from various countries, including Korea, the United States, China, Japan, and Australia, are also expected to attend the summit in large numbers.
David Hill, Deloitte Asia Pacific CEO, will deliver a keynote speech on the second day of the summit, October 29, under the theme 'Global Economic Issues & Challenges.' Drawing on the results of Deloitte's 'CEO Survey' conducted among CEOs from APEC member countries, he will shed light on how business leaders are responding to a changing economic environment, rapid technological advancement, and the challenges surrounding sustainability and growth in the region.
Nitin Mittal, Deloitte Global AI Leader, will participate in the official side event of the APEC CEO Summit, the 'Future Tech Forum AI,' hosted by SK Group on October 28 at Gyeongju Expo Grand Park. Mittal will engage in a discussion and panel talk with Matt Garman, AWS CEO, sharing insights on the innovations AI will bring across industries, global collaboration models, and new growth opportunities, while also presenting strategies for building national AI ecosystems. Additionally, Dr. Bernhard Lorentz, Deloitte Global Climate & Infrastructure Leader, will join the afternoon session on the second day of the summit as a panelist, discussing 'Carbon Neutrality and Strategies for a Sustainable Future.'
Furthermore, Deloitte plans to provide strategic implications linked to the summit's main agenda by presenting the results of its survey of CEOs from APEC member countries. The company will also operate a dedicated space, 'Deloitte House,' within the venue, where it will independently host CEO roundtables and business meetings with domestic companies, creating a platform for practical cooperation discussions.
Hong Jongseong, Country Managing Partner of Deloitte Korea, stated, "This APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025 will serve as a key stage for discussing how future high-tech industries, including AI, will reshape the global economy." He added, "As the knowledge partner, Deloitte will provide global insights on the summit's core agendas, such as AI, digital transformation, and sustainability, enabling domestic and international business leaders in attendance to actively discuss the challenges and opportunities they face."
