The Innovation Project Support Group of Kyungbok University will hold the 3rd KBU Health and Welfare EXPO on October 15 at the plaza between the Changjo Hall and the Munhwa Hall on the Namyangju Campus.
Marking its third year, this EXPO will feature participation from five departments within Kyungbok University-Nursing, Social Welfare, Clinical Laboratory Science, Companion Animal Health, and Occupational Safety and Health-as well as the 3D Printing Center and other campus organizations. In addition, six external organizations will join, including the Namyangju Pungyang Public Health Center, the Hypertension and Diabetes Registration and Education Center of Namyangju Public Health Center, the Northern Hope Care Center of Namyangju City Social Welfare Center, the affiliated Namyangju City Mental Health Welfare Center, the Youth Mental Health Center, the Culture and Arts Performance Festival Team of Namyangju City Hall, and the Jinjeop Residents' Autonomy Association’s Kknak Sori Broadcasting Station.

A Kyungbok University official stated, "This EXPO aims to raise awareness of health and welfare issues and to fulfill the university's role in engaging with the local community," adding, "It will be a meaningful learning opportunity for students to practice their major competencies and to communicate with the community."
In particular, the official added, "Through this EXPO, Kyungbok University plans to create an integrated health culture space where local residents and students come together, and to present a sustainable regional health and welfare model that combines the university's expertise with community participation."
Meanwhile, the KBU Health and Welfare EXPO is a community-linked program promoted by Kyungbok University as part of its Innovation Project Support initiative and has established itself as a platform for mutual growth between local residents and the university through a variety of hands-on experiences and information sharing each year.
