Hong Myungbo's Squad Suffers 0-5 Defeat to Powerhouse Brazil

The South Korean national football team, led by coach Hong Myungbo, suffered a heavy 0-5 defeat against the Brazilian national team, whom they faced for the first time in nearly three years.

On October 10, at Seoul World Cup Stadium, Hong Myungbo's squad lost 0-5 in a friendly match against Brazil. The South Korean team conceded two goals in the first half and three more in the second half, collapsing without much resistance. For Brazil, Rodrygo and Est?v?o each scored twice, while Vin?cius J?nior added another goal.

The Brazilian attacking trio of Rodrygo, Vin?cius, and Est?v?o demonstrated sharp finishing and a well-organized, concise attacking build-up, completely outplaying the South Korean defense. After conceding two goals in the first half, South Korea quickly fell apart in the second half, allowing two more goals within the first four minutes due to consecutive defensive errors.

Lee Kangin was the only South Korean player to show composure and impressive ball control in midfield against the Brazilian players, but overall, the team failed to create any significant attacking opportunities. South Korea's attack was so ineffective that Kim Jingyu's shot in the 65th minute was the team's only shot on target for the entire match.

Captain Son Heungmin made his 137th international appearance, surpassing coach Hong Myungbo and former national team coach Cha Bumkun (both with 136 matches) to set a new record for the most international appearances by a South Korean player. However, he failed to register a single shot before being substituted in the 63rd minute.
