Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting nominations for candidates for the 32nd Hwaseong City Culture Award until the 21st.
The Hwaseong City Culture Award, established in 1994, is designed to encourage individuals who have contributed to the development of local culture and the advancement of arts and culture in the region.
The award will be given to one individual in each of the following four categories: culture, arts, education, and sports, for a total of four recipients.
Eligible candidates must have worked for at least three years at an institution, workplace, or organization located in Hwaseong City and must have recognized achievements contributing to the development of relevant fields in Hwaseong City. As of September 22, candidates must be registered as residents of Hwaseong City for at least three years or have lived in Hwaseong City for at least three years.
Nominators include: heads of towns, townships, and neighborhoods in Hwaseong City; heads of relevant organizations and institutions in each award category; and ordinary citizens of Hwaseong City. The nomination form can be downloaded from the announcement section of the Hwaseong City Hall website, filled out, and submitted in person or by mail. The recipients will be selected through a review by the Hwaseong City Culture Award Selection Committee.
