An official from Yangpyeong County Office in Gyeonggi Province was found dead after being questioned by the special prosecutor's team investigating allegations related to First Lady Kim Keonhee. Police have stated that there are no signs of foul play and are currently investigating the circumstances of the death.
According to police on October 10, an official in their 50s, identified as Mr. A, who held a fifth-grade managerial position at Yangpyeong County Office, was found dead in the bathroom of his home in Yangpyeong-eup that morning. It is reported that colleagues discovered Mr. A after he failed to come to work and could not be reached, as he lived alone.
According to statements from the bereaved family, Mr. A recently appeared before the special prosecutor's team as a witness and was questioned regarding the allegations involving First Lady Kim Keonhee.
No evidence of homicide has been found. The police are investigating the exact cause of death.
