Gwangju City announced on October 10 that it will host the '2025 11th Bitgaram Festival' together with Jeollanam-do, Naju City, and public institutions relocated to the Innovation City, at the Bitgaram-dong Lake Park area in Naju over two days, October 18 and 19.

Under the theme "Only One Bitgaram, Light That Unites All," the festival is planned as an autumn event for communication and harmony between employees of relocated public institutions and local residents. Since its inception in 2015, the festival has become a signature event for the Innovation City. Last year, it attracted more than 10,000 visitors and was highly regarded for promoting the value of mutual growth.

This year's festival will feature a variety of cultural and artistic performances, as well as hands-on programs. On the first day, October 18, the Gwangju City Symphony Orchestra will present a classical music performance, followed by a K-POP dance stage by local youth. Employees of the relocated public institutions will also showcase club performances, creating a venue for unity.

On October 19, the festival will continue with performances by the relocated public institutions' orchestra and the Jeollanam-do Provincial Korean Traditional Music Orchestra. The invited singer Kim Janghoon will take the stage to deliver passionate renditions of his hit songs. In particular, a fireworks show will light up the night sky, providing a spectacular finale to the festival.

Side events will include a flea market, a social economy enterprise market, a food zone, a children's air bounce playground, hands-on booths (such as bead bracelets, soap making, and traditional games), a playground for pets, and a black-and-white photo studio, ensuring enjoyment for people of all ages.

Ko Gwangwan, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs, stated, "The Bitgaram Festival is a festival of mutual growth, jointly hosted by local residents and relocated public institutions," adding, "With a diverse program that blends culture, art, and hands-on experiences, we will create a venue for unity that will satisfy both citizens and visitors."
