The "1st Hoengseong Classic Open Air Concert," designed to deliver a profound musical experience to the residents of Hoengseong County, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on October 11 at the Hoengseong Eoullim Madang (Inline Skating Rink).
This concert is hosted by the Hoengseong branch of the Korean Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations, organized by the Hoengseong branch of the Korean Music Association, and sponsored by Hoengseong County. It will feature the region's leading choir, orchestra, and classical guitar ensemble.
With the concept of an "open air concert," the event will take place on a spacious outdoor stage, allowing the audience to connect more closely with the performers and share in the true resonance of music.
As it will be held at the end of the Chuseok holiday, the concert is expected to offer a warm opportunity for families and friends to come together and share their feelings through music, easing the sense of longing that often follows the holiday.
The performance will begin with the Hoengseong Classical Guitar Ensemble presenting "A Village Overlooking the Sea" and a "Kim Kwangseok Medley," followed by the Hoengseong County Residents Choir with "When Autumn Comes" and "Sing Sing Sing," and the Hoengseong Dunnae Choir performing "Counting the Stars at Night" and "Arirang." The Hoengseong Orchestra will play pieces such as "The Ludlows," "Danza Espanola," and Offenbach's "Can-Can." The concert will conclude with all performers joining together for "On a Wonderful Day in October."
Lee Taekseong, head of the Hoengseong branch of the Korean Music Association, said, "As this stage is created by both local artists and county residents, I hope many people will come and fully enjoy the feast of classical music on this autumn night."
This concert is free of charge and open to everyone who loves music, including residents of Hoengseong County.
