LS Electric Partners with Honeywell to Develop Data Center Power Solutions and BESS in North America

Strategic Partnership Agreement Signed at DCWA Singapore
Joint Development of Power Supply Solutions for Data Centers
Modular BESS Targeting the Commercial and Industrial Building Market

LS Electric is partnering with Honeywell, a U.S.-based industrial automation solutions company, to jointly develop power management solutions and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for data centers in North America.

LS Electric Partners with Honeywell to Develop Data Center Power Solutions and BESS in North America LS Electric announced that on the 8th, at the Data Center World Asia event held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore, it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Honeywell for the joint development of power management, distribution, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). LS Electric announced on October 10 that it had signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Honeywell for the joint development of power management, distribution, and BESS at the Data Center World Asia event held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore on October 8.

Under this agreement, the two companies will combine LS Electric's power infrastructure and BESS solutions with Honeywell's building automation and control platform expertise to jointly develop integrated power management solutions for data centers and commercial and industrial (C&I) buildings.

To begin with, they plan to target the global data center market, including North America, by developing a "next-generation power management system" that integrates Honeywell's artificial intelligence (AI)-based industrial automation platform with LS Electric's power monitoring software. By offering intelligent power quality management and predictive maintenance features, the system aims to minimize downtime (periods when power is abruptly cut off and systems stop) and provide a stable, optimized power supply for data centers.

The companies will also jointly develop a modular BESS targeting the U.S. commercial and industrial building market. By integrating LS Electric's energy storage system (ESS) development capabilities with Honeywell's energy control software, they plan to deliver an ESS solution that analyzes grid data, weather information, and risk factors to predict the optimal energy source and cost.

Currently, data centers consume 1-2% of the world's total electricity production, but this share is expected to rise to as much as 20% by 2030. LS Electric anticipates that this collaboration will strengthen its position as a reliable and smart power solutions provider in the global data center and building automation markets, including the United States.

The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Jongwoo, President of LS Electric, Bilal Hamoud, President of Honeywell Building Automation Division, and other officials from both companies. President Kim Jongwoo stated, "We are accelerating our entry into the North American data center and C&I building markets based on our accumulated technological capabilities in power infrastructure and ESS. Through our collaboration with Honeywell in the United States, we will provide differentiated solutions that enable big tech data centers and large building operators to achieve both energy efficiency and stability." President Hamoud responded, "This collaboration is expected to take our partnership with LS Electric to the next level. By combining the strengths of both companies, we will introduce forward-looking and innovative infrastructure solutions to the global data center and C&I markets."
