This opening aims to provide citizens with a pleasant space for relaxation and leisure, as well as to create an urban retreat for families and small gatherings.

Reservations for the "Unjeong Lake Park Picnic Area" will be managed through an online advance reservation system. For the first week of operation, reservations can be made from 6:00 p.m. on October 2 until 9:59 a.m. on October 6. Afterward, reservations will be available starting two weeks prior to the intended date of use. Reservations can be made through the "Picnic Area Reservation" section on the Culture & Tourism board of the Paju City Hall website.

The "Picnic Area" will be open year-round, but will be closed every Monday as a regular holiday. It will operate in two sessions, morning and afternoon, and a total of five units are available. Each unit can accommodate up to eight people, ensuring a comfortable environment for families or small groups.

The "Unjeong Lake Park Picnic Area" is located adjacent to a ground fountain and a lakeside walking trail, allowing citizens to enjoy relaxation in nature within the city. Paju City plans to efficiently manage the space through the online reservation system and, during the pilot operation period until the end of the year, will collect feedback from users to provide even more convenient services to citizens in the future.

Jung Jeonghee, head of the Urban Management Division, stated, "We hope that the Unjeong Lake Park Picnic Area will become a hub for citizens' leisure activities and a space for family-centered cultural experiences."
