Seungah Baek, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated that Assemblyman Joo Jinwoo acted as a public relations ambassador after the JTBC variety show featuring President Lee Jaemyung and his spouse achieved its highest viewership rating.

On October 7, Assemblywoman Baek posted on her social networking service (SNS) under the title "Outrage at Variety Shows, Silence at Martial Law. Masters of Selective Outrage," saying, "The viewership rating for 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' was 8.9%. Assemblyman Joo Jinwoo is truly a public relations ambassador."

Baek commented, "Today, Assemblyman Joo Jinwoo once again made harsh remarks, demanding to know who led the filming and broadcast of the variety show and how long it took for the full makeup. Despite nitpicking and getting worked up like this, is it hard to bear now that the response is positive? I almost feel sorry for him."

She also explained that President Lee Jaemyung's appearance on the variety show was part of promoting K-Food, and that it is scheduled to be broadcast worldwide through Netflix. Baek mentioned, "It was a time of communication with the public that clearly showed the presidential couple's passion for the spread, export, and industrialization of K-Food."

Regarding Assemblyman Joo, Baek pointed out that he failed to speak out on incidents such as the Itaewon disaster and the death of Private Chae, yet only expressed outrage at this variety show appearance. She said, "I cannot help but laugh at the selective outrage of those who remained silent even when armored vehicles and helicopters trampled the National Assembly, but have been fixated for days on a television appearance."

She also mentioned that she had filed a complaint against Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, for 'defamation by spreading false information.' She claimed that Jang's statement on SNS, asserting that 'President Lee Jaemyung's 48-hour itinerary is a lie,' constitutes false information and that the ruling party is framing it as 'fear politics' by accusing the leader of the main opposition party.
