Education Sessions on November 4 and 8
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Seungro), will hold hands-on dog walking education sessions with experts on November 4 and 8. This program is designed for Seongbuk-gu residents and their companion dogs to participate together and learn walking habits and socialization training.
The dog walking education program was selected as the most desired animal protection policy project by residents, according to Seongbuk-gu’s social survey and social indicators. The sessions will be held twice: on Tuesday, November 4, and Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Bukaksan Neighborhood Park Ecological Experience Center (126-9 Seongbuk-ro 31-gil). Any Seongbuk-gu resident who has registered their companion dog is eligible to apply.
Applications will be accepted from October 10 to 26 through Naver Form (https://naver.me/5CFBjslS). A total of 30 teams-15 teams per session-will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis and notified individually. There is no fee for participation.
In each session, the companion dog and guardian will participate as a team, engaging in leadership and socialization training, dog-to-dog and dog-to-human socialization education, and practical exercises to develop the habit of focusing on the guardian while walking in public spaces.
