[Tomorrow's Weather] Mostly Cloudy Nationwide with Occasional Rain... Caution Advised for Holiday Return Travel

On October 8, which marks the seasonal term Hanro-meaning 'cold dew forms'-and the tail end of the Chuseok holiday, most regions nationwide are expected to be cloudy, with occasional rain in some areas.

In the early morning, intermittent rain is expected in southern Incheon and Gyeonggi, the southern inland region of Gangwon, and Chungcheongnam-do. Rain will continue through the afternoon in Jeolla, Chungbuk, the northern inland area of Gyeongbuk, and Jeju Island. From the afternoon, intermittent rain is expected along the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and at night, in Ulsan, the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk, and the northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk.

The amount of rainfall is not expected to be significant. The total precipitation forecast for the two days from October 8 to 9 is 5 to 20 mm for the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon, 5 to 10 mm for the eastern coast and northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, and around 5 mm for Jeju Island. In Ulsan and the northern inland region of Gyeongbuk, less than 5 mm of rain is expected on October 8.

Morning lows will range from 14 to 22 degrees Celsius, higher than average for this time of year, while daytime highs will range from 22 to 27 degrees Celsius, similar to or slightly higher than usual. Fine dust levels are expected to remain at 'good' across the country.

Wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea. For the time being, high waves are expected along the eastern coast and the coast of Jeju Island, so caution is advised for coastal safety.
