On the day of Chuseok, October 6, President Lee Jae-myung visited his hometown and stated, "I once again reaffirmed my commitment to be a president for all."
President Lee made this statement through his social media after visiting the family graves in Bonghwa and Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, together with his family and relatives.
He remarked, "The scent of the mountains, mingled with the drizzle, feels fresh and sweet," adding, "It must mean that the season of harvest, autumn, is in full swing."
He went on to say, "I hope that today, above all, will be a day filled with abundance and happiness for all our people."
Meanwhile, according to the presidential office, President Lee greeted residents of his hometown and exchanged Chuseok greetings with them on his way to visit the graves.
