'National Information Resources Service Fire' System Recovery Rate at 20.1%... Ministry of Economy and Finance Homepage Restored

The recovery rate of administrative information systems paralyzed by the fire at the National Information Resources Service was approximately 20% as of October 4, 2025.

According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on October 4, out of the 647 information systems that were halted due to the fire at the National Information Resources Service, 130 systems (20.1%) had been restored as of 12:00 p.m. on that day. Among these, 21 are classified as first-grade systems.

With the restoration of the Ministry of Economy and Finance's Korean-language homepage, most public services have resumed. However, the homepage of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, which is the main responsible agency, remains inaccessible. The homepage of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, which oversees the Cabinet, has launched a temporary website and is providing only limited services.

After 647 information systems were paralyzed by the fire that broke out at the Daejeon headquarters of the National Information Resources Service on September 26, the government has mobilized all available personnel and equipment to carry out restoration work.
