In another video, several men are seen intervening to resolve the situation. Among them, one young man subdued the assailant.

After the video was released, netizens speculated that the young man who subdued the attacker was Sun Hengyu (24), an idol trainee who recently appeared on Mnet's "Boys Planet 2." One netizen posted the video and commented, "Sun Hengyu saved the taxi driver who was being assaulted by a drunk man."

Upon seeing the video, viewers visited Sun Hengyu's social media accounts to express their gratitude and concern, asking if he was injured. In response, Sun Hengyu acknowledged that he was the one who helped the taxi driver, stating, "I'm fine" and "I wasn't hurt, so please don't worry."

Sun Hengyu, originally from China, debuted with the group Blanky in 2022. The following year, in 2023, he changed agencies and was active for a year with the group DV.OL. He later placed 20th in "Boys Planet 2." At the time, he wrote a handwritten letter in Korean, saying, "Although I couldn't achieve my dream of debuting, I found hope that I didn't have a year ago," and added, "I will no longer remain weak and will prepare for the future that lies ahead."
