According to the Marine Corps Headquarters, Commandant Ju checked the front-line area from the Udo Guard Post's Joint Anti-Air Surveillance Center and received an operational briefing at the Integrated Situation Room. He inspected the response system for each type of provocation that could occur, such as anti-air threats. In addition, he visited the integrated barracks where the troops live, expressed his gratitude and encouragement, and delivered gifts to the service members.

Udo, where the Udo Guard Post is located, is one of the northwestern islands where the Marine Corps is stationed, along with Baengnyeongdo and Yeonpyeongdo. It is a small island with a total area of 0.4 square kilometers. Due to its proximity to the West Sea NLL, it is considered a key military and geographical point.

Commandant Ju stated, "As the 'people's military,' we must fulfill the noble mission of defending our nation," and urged, "Please make every effort to ensure stable unit management for the lives and safety of our troops, which is just as important as security."
