Kim Soo-hyun's Side: "No Romantic Feelings for Go Sae-ron... Home Visit Was Only for One Day"

“There Was Another Girlfriend During His Military Service”
Countering With Lawsuits Against the Family and Whistleblower YouTubers

Actor Kim Soo-hyun's side has once again clarified their position regarding the allegations of a romantic relationship with the late Go Sae-ron. They also made it clear that the reason for releasing Kim Soo-hyun’s handwritten letters from his military service was to refute these allegations.

On October 3, Kim Soo-hyun’s legal representative, attorney Ko Sang-rok of Phil Law Firm, stated through his own channel, “The approximately 150 letters the actor wrote throughout his military service, focusing solely on his girlfriend, are filled with gratitude, apologies, and affection for her. They are packed with records of him eagerly anticipating dates during his leave.”

Attorney Ko emphasized the reason for releasing these letters, stating, “They serve as strong evidence that, at the time, the actor’s emotions were entirely directed toward his girlfriend, leaving no room for any other feelings.”

In particular, attorney Ko addressed the phrase “I miss you,” which appeared in a letter Kim Soo-hyun allegedly sent to Go Sae-ron, explaining, “This is simply something someone serving in the military might say to an acquaintance outside, and it does not express romantic feelings or attraction.”

He added, “If you read the entire letter, it simply concludes with something like, ‘Let’s meet up when I’m on leave,’ after sharing stories about military life. There are no specific arrangements for meetings, expressions of affection, or descriptions of feelings toward the late actress at all.”

The attorney also addressed the claim that Go Sae-ron visited Kim Soo-hyun’s home. Ko explained, “The visit took place during one of Kim Soo-hyun’s days off, and the house in question was registered in the actor’s name but was actually the residence of his agency’s CEO, who is also his brother. It was a natural visit that happened because their schedules aligned, and his brother was present as well. The late actress was a mutual acquaintance of both.”

He continued, “Their relationship was nothing more than ordinary interaction between fellow entertainers, and there were absolutely no special feelings between them.”

On the Allegations of Dating Go Sae-ron: “Just Colleagues, Lawsuit Over Fabricated Evidence Ongoing”

Kim Soo-hyun’s side strongly refuted the bereaved family’s claim that he dated the late actress when she was a minor, calling it “fabrication of evidence.” Attorney Ko stated, “All the photos released by Garosero Research Institute were taken after Go Sae-ron became an adult, that is, after the fall of her first year in college in 2019, and the fabricated KakaoTalk conversations were written by a third party, not Kim Soo-hyun.”

He continued, “Garosero Research Institute claimed to have more photos, but not a single additional photo has been released in the past six months-because none exist.”

Attorney Ko added, “Kim Soo-hyun was never in a romantic relationship with the late actress at any time while she was a minor. Currently, we have filed a 12 billion won damages lawsuit against the bereaved family and Garosero Research Institute.”
