This visit was organized to express gratitude to the military personnel who dedicate themselves to national security even during the holidays, and to boost morale and foster a warm holiday atmosphere.
Governor Kim wrote in the guestbook, "Please build the strongest military through thorough logistical support," emphasizing, "The 1st Army Support Command plays a crucial role in military logistics, and thanks to the dedication of its personnel, both the region and the nation are kept safe." He especially offered warm words of comfort to those soldiers who are unable to return to their hometowns during Chuseok and continue to fulfill their duties diligently.
He further expressed his appreciation, saying, "Whenever disasters such as heavy rain or drought occur, the military's support with personnel and supplies has been a significant help in recovery efforts and public assistance."
The 1st Army Support Command is a unit with outstanding capabilities in various areas, including the supply and maintenance of military materials and transportation. It serves as a key foundation for the stable execution of military operations within Gangwon Province.
The province plans to further strengthen cooperation with the military to solidify regional security and expand community bonds. Additionally, it will maintain close communication with the Gangwon Military Family Council, which was officially launched this year, and prepare a variety of initiatives to provide practical support for military personnel and their families.
