The county has decided to support shipping costs up to a maximum of 2,500 won per transaction for local farmers and producer organizations (crop groups and corporations) for deliveries made between November last year and October this year.

Eligible applicants are those registered as agricultural businesses with an address in Hwacheon County, who have been engaged in farming for at least one year, and who sell Hwacheon-grown agricultural products or processed foods directly to consumers outside the area via courier service.

The subsidy rate is up to 50% (2,500 won) of the shipping fee, based on a standard shipping cost of 5,000 won per transaction. (For shipping costs of 4,000 won, a subsidy of 2,000 won will be provided.)

The maximum number of subsidized transactions is 300 per individual farm and 600 per producer organization (including corporations).

Shipping costs for deliveries within Hwacheon or for cash-on-delivery services are excluded from the subsidy program.

If the shipment is accompanied by online sales, applicants can receive subsidies for up to an additional 200 transactions by submitting supporting documents.

Applications can be submitted at each township office from the 13th of this month to the 7th of next month.

The subsidy funds will be paid in a lump sum in December after the submitted documents are reviewed.

Choi Moonsoon, Mayor of Hwacheon County, stated, "We will continue to support logistics and shipping costs to provide practical assistance to farm management."
