Creating Sustainable Shared Growth Value
Through Support for Artists with Disabilities
IBK Investment & Securities (CEO Seo Junghak) announced that it held the "IBK Investment & Securities Sharing Concert - Gift II" at Yeongsan Art Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, in collaboration with Hanbit Art Troupe, a professional performance group composed of visually impaired musicians.
The sharing concert, which supports visually impaired musicians, is part of IBK Investment & Securities' ESG management activities aimed at supporting artists with disabilities and raising awareness about disabilities. In order to create sustainable shared growth value, rather than one-off or charity-based sponsorship, IBK Investment & Securities organized a concert stage for Hanbit Art Troupe again this year, following last year’s event.
Hanbit Art Troupe, consisting entirely of visually impaired artists, has showcased outstanding musical talent and capabilities on both domestic and international stages. Returning for its second appearance at the IBK Investment & Securities Sharing Concert this year, the troupe presented an even more diverse program than last year, featuring a percussion ensemble, brass ensemble, DTL (Darkness to Light) band, and orchestra.
Conducted with commentary by conductor Seo Heetae, the concert featured famous movie soundtracks such as "Pirates of the Caribbean," "The Lion King," and "The Greatest Showman," as well as music from the animation "K-Pop Demon Hunters (Kedeheon)," receiving an enthusiastic response from the audience.
In particular, the blackout performance, where all the lights in the concert hall were turned off during the performance, powerfully conveyed the passion of the visually impaired musicians and moved the audience.
Seo Junghak, CEO of IBK Investment & Securities, stated, "I hope that this stage, which fully embodies the dreams and passion of artists with disabilities, will serve as a gift to many, delivering the values of respect for life, consideration, and sharing," adding, "IBK Investment & Securities will continue to strengthen ESG management that can be tangibly felt by vulnerable groups and fulfill our social responsibilities."
Meanwhile, IBK Investment & Securities is actively pursuing various ESG management activities that engage diverse social groups, including equity investment in standard workplaces for the disabled to support job creation, support for medical expenses for children with pediatric cancer, sponsorship for improving the living environment of young adults preparing for independence, and meal service volunteering for elderly people living alone.
