The "Proud Provincial Resident Award" is presented to exemplary residents who have enhanced the honor of North Gyeongsang Province and dedicated themselves to the development of the local community. Out of 2.5 million residents, only 37 people (33 main awards and 4 special awards) receive this prestigious honor.
Since taking office in 2022, Director Shin Taeun has contributed to strengthening the external foundation and reputation of the Goryeong Cultural Center by promoting and preserving the region's traditional culture.
He has led the development of local culture through various programs such as the Goryeong World Hyeon Festival and the Lee Jo-nyeon Literary Contest. In addition, his ongoing social contributions-including providing scholarships to Goryeong Elementary School graduates and donating funds to support victims of wildfires in North Gyeongsang Province-have made him a role model for the community.
Director Shin Taeun stated, "I am very pleased to receive the Proud Provincial Resident Award, and I believe this honor is thanks to all the residents of Goryeong County and the members of the Goryeong Cultural Center. I will continue to work even harder for the development of local culture and the arts."
