Hamyang County to Promote Gyeongnam-Style Public Delivery Apps with Consumer Benefits for Residents

Tangible Benefits Provided
for Both Local Small Business Owners
and Consumers

Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on October 2 that it will strengthen promotional activities targeting residents and small business owners, as the public delivery apps 'Ttaenggyeoyo' and 'Meokkebi', promoted by the province, will officially begin full-scale operations starting in October.

This initiative was established to reduce the excessive commission burden of private delivery apps and to provide tangible benefits to both local small business owners and consumers.

The public delivery apps operate with low intermediary commission rates (2% for Ttaenggyeoyo and 1.5% for Meokkebi), and there are no entry fees, advertising costs, or monthly usage fees, which is expected to help stabilize small business operations. In addition, various management support benefits are offered, including business owner support funds, same-day card payment services, and personalized review recommendations for customers.

Consumers will also enjoy a wide range of benefits. Ttaenggyeoyo provides a welcome coupon pack worth 16,000 won and up to 23,000 won in random monthly coupons, while Meokkebi offers various events such as review events, unlimited gift certificate gifting, and discount coupons for participating in mini-games. Notably, both apps will issue an instant 5,000 won discount coupon for orders over 20,000 won, which is expected to provide substantial relief to household budgets for county residents.

An official from the county stated, "The Gyeongnam-style public delivery apps are more than just ordering platforms; they are platforms where local small business owners and consumers can prosper together," adding, "We hope residents will actively make use of these services."

Hamyang County plans to continue supporting the early establishment of public delivery apps in the local community by expanding participating stores and conducting active promotional campaigns.
