On October 1, the city of Sejong held a briefing session for project managers (implementing agencies) of the Community Social Security Plan.
This session was organized by the city for the first time to enhance the quality of the implementation result reports prepared by each project manager. More than 50 participants attended, including managers in charge of 51 detailed tasks under the Community Social Security Plan and representatives from implementing agencies.
The Community Social Security Plan is a legally mandated comprehensive plan aimed at improving citizens' quality of life and strengthening the sense of welfare.
The city is focusing its efforts on the thorough management of this plan, as it is a core welfare initiative that directly affects the daily lives of vulnerable groups such as children and adolescents, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
The briefing session covered topics including: understanding and the significance of implementing the Community Social Security Plan; methods for preparing and monitoring the plan; key points to consider when writing result reports; and guidance on the direction for 2025. After lectures by experts and researchers in the field, a Q&A session was held to collect feedback from attendees.
The city plans to support project managers in systematically and thoroughly preparing implementation results through this session, with the goal of realizing welfare administration that brings about positive changes in citizens' lives.
Lee Youngok, Director of the Health and Welfare Bureau, stated, "I hope this session will serve as an opportunity to generate tangible welfare outcomes that every citizen can experience, going beyond simple education."
