Open from October 3 to 9, Closed on Chuseok Day
Jeonju Natural Ecology Center announced on October 1 that it will be open during the Chuseok holiday period, except for the day of Chuseok itself, so that visitors can enjoy a bountiful holiday in harmony with nature.
From October 3 to 9, Jeonju Natural Ecology Center will offer a variety of hands-on programs, including the early childhood climate environment event "I Want to Be an Earth Keeper" and the "Chuseok Five-Colored Songpyeon Making" experience.
At the early childhood climate environment event "I Want to Be an Earth Keeper," held on October 3, there will be interactive booths and an art exhibition themed around environmental and ecological protection. In addition, side events such as an environmental magic show and a cotton candy show will be held, giving children a fun opportunity to learn the importance of protecting the earth and its ecosystems.
The "Chuseok Five-Colored Songpyeon Making Experience" program, taking place on October 4, will allow children to rediscover the meaning of tradition and fully experience the festive Chuseok atmosphere through activities such as learning about Korean holidays and the 24 solar terms through games, and making songpyeon colored with natural dyes.
In addition, Jeonju Natural Ecology Center offers ongoing experiences such as the firefly and doctor fish interaction zone and the forest ecological playground, allowing visitors to directly engage with living creatures and nurture their imagination and creativity in nature.
Jo Miyoung, head of the Environmental Hygiene Division of Jeonju City, said, "We hope that children and tourists visiting Jeonju Natural Ecology Center during the Chuseok holiday will enjoy a rich and fulfilling holiday in harmony with nature through a variety of experiential events."
