The National Local Government Job Awards is a prestigious honor presented by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, evaluating local governments’ employment policies nationwide. The awards comprehensively assess creativity and cooperation in projects, effectiveness in job creation, and the connection to and responsiveness toward local industries and needs.

Through “Cheonwon Guksi,” Seo-gu District was highly praised for its achievements in three areas: creating 220 jobs for seniors, promoting the consumption of domestic wheat through cooperation with 65 local farms, and spreading a culture of sharing in the community, thus making significant contributions in employment, economy, and welfare.

In particular, Seo-gu District operates 10 Cheonwon Guksi locations, each serving 100 bowls per day for 1,000 won each, totaling 1,000 bowls daily. Each location designates specific beneficiaries, such as pregnant women, seniors, or vulnerable groups, to provide tailored support. Additionally, “Sharing Refrigerators” in the stores offer donated ingredients and ready-to-eat meals from residents and sponsors, further promoting a culture of sharing.

Kim Ikang, the head of Seo-gu District, stated, “This award is even more valuable because it represents meaningful achievements in employment, economy, and welfare all at once. We will work to spread the ‘Cheonwon Guksi’ brand nationwide, leading the way in sustainable job creation and the realization of social value.”
