Air Busan Introduces New Aircraft... Accelerates Operational Normalization

Air Busan (CEO Jung Byungsub) introduced a new aircraft and began operations at Gimhae Airport on October 1.

The newly deployed aircraft is an A321-200 CEO with a capacity of 195 seats, bringing the total fleet back up to 21 aircraft.

Earlier this year, Air Busan faced difficulties in scheduling due to a shortage of available aircraft, caused by the loss of an aircraft from an in-flight fire in January and delays in overseas outsourced maintenance.

As a result, domestic flight operations had to be reduced. However, with this new introduction, the airline will restore its flight schedule, increasing the number of daily flights on the Busan-Gimpo route from six to ten starting in October.

Furthermore, once the aircraft delayed by overseas maintenance returns to service within the year, Air Busan is expected to accelerate the normalization of operations and improve its performance.

An Air Busan representative stated, "We will do our utmost to strengthen our competitiveness by securing a stable fleet and operating efficiently, and to earn customer trust as an airline that keeps its promises."
