According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, 21.52 million foreign visitors traveled to Japan in the first half of this year. Among them, Koreans accounted for the largest group, with 4.78 million visitors.

As of this month, the Samsung Cards that can be issued with the JCB brand are the Samsung iDONE Card, Samsung iD MOVE Card, Samsung iD PLUG-IN Card, and Samsung Card taptap S.

These cards can be used at merchants in Korea and Japan, as well as at overseas merchants displaying the JCB logo.

The four types of cards offer benefits such as discounts or point accumulation for overseas use. When used locally in Japan, cardholders can enjoy both the benefits provided by JCB and the specific card product benefits.

Samsung Card will run a 30% cashback event for overseas transactions made with JCB-branded Samsung Cards until December 31.

During the event period, if a cardholder spends at least 10,000 yen or 100 US dollars with a JCB-branded Samsung Card, 30% of the transaction amount will be credited as cashback.

For yen transactions, the cashback is capped at 4,000 yen per card, and for dollar transactions, it is capped at 30 US dollars per card.

The yen and dollar cashback promotions can be applied simultaneously.

A Samsung Card representative stated, "In response to the growing demand for travel and business trips to Japan, we have partnered with JCB to launch four types of Samsung Cards with the JCB brand," adding, "We plan to further expand the range of card products that can be issued with the JCB brand in the future."
