Up to Five Months Shorter Global Packaging Sourcing
Over 4,000 Types of Packaging Registered Worldwide... Expansion to 10,000 Planned
KOLMAR Korea, an original design manufacturer (ODM) specializing in cosmetics, announced on September 30 that it has launched "Kolmarpkg.com," a platform that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) technology to allow users to view global cosmetic packaging at a glance.
Kolmarpkg.com is a web-based platform designed to help customers quickly and easily find the cosmetic packaging they need. Users can upload a photo or image of their desired packaging, and the AI will analyze it to suggest similar packaging options. The platform also offers various filtering features by packaging type (bottle, pump, tube, etc.), contents, country of manufacture, capacity, and more, significantly reducing the time customers spend selecting products.
In particular, when preparing for overseas expansion, the platform can shorten the packaging sourcing period-which previously took three to six months-to less than one month. This is possible because the entire process, from package selection and supplier choice to minimum order quantity verification and quotation requests, has been streamlined. By enabling all sourcing steps to be handled in one place, the platform is expected to greatly enhance customers' work efficiency.
This platform is jointly operated by KOLMAR Korea’s entities in Korea, North America, and China. Customers are directly connected with experts in their target business regions to receive customized support.
Once a package is selected, customers can access KOLMAR Korea’s global total ODM services, covering product development, manufacturing, and launch. Currently, the platform features more than 4,000 types of packaging, all supplied by partners that have been directly vetted by KOLMAR Korea.
Looking ahead, KOLMAR Korea plans to expand the number of available packaging types to over 10,000 and strengthen partnerships with domestic and international packaging suppliers to deliver differentiated services.
