"Claims That Extraterrestrial Beings Are Currently Living in the Deep Sea"
UFO Footage Released at U.S. Congressional Hearing in September
Recently, the US Congress held a hearing using the neutral term UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) to investigate the truth about extraterrestrials. Now, a US congressman has sparked controversy by claiming that there may be up to five or six underwater UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) bases off the US coast, and that extraterrestrial beings could be hiding there.
On the 28th (local time), British media outlets such as the Daily Mail and The Sun reported that Tim Burchett, a member of the US House Oversight Committee from Tennessee, stirred debate in a recent interview by stating, "Highly advanced extraterrestrial beings may currently be living in the deep seas of Earth." The video, released on X (formerly Twitter) on the 17th, has been viewed more than 1.9 million times. In a street interview with documentary filmmaker and UFO researcher 'Red Panda Koala,' Representative Burchett suggested the possibility that advanced alien beings or civilizations may have been hiding beneath the Earth's oceans for generations.
In the interview, Representative Burchett said, "Frequent UFO sightings have been reported in five or six specific deep-sea areas," and claimed, "US Navy personnel have tracked these underwater craft, but they reported that the objects moved at speeds far beyond our military technology." He added, "Navy officials share various accounts of sightings," and continued, "The underwater craft we are pursuing move at hundreds of miles per hour, while our best technology cannot even reach 40 miles per hour."
Following Representative Burchett's remarks, Dr. Michael Salla, a researcher and author on extraterrestrial phenomena, revealed the specific locations where these UFO bases are believed to exist. Dr. Salla specifically pointed to the Atlantic region near the Bahamas, claiming, "The US Navy operates a top-secret underwater facility here called the Atlantic Undersea Testing and Evaluation Center (AUTEC)."
On the 19th, Dr. Salla appeared on a podcast covering UFOs and government secrets, explaining, "Near the Bahamas, there is a deep ocean area called the 'Tongue of the Ocean.' The depth drops sharply to about 3,000 feet (914 meters), making it ideal for submarines, but it is also a place where many UFOs and underwater craft have been seen entering or exiting the water."
Furthermore, he claimed to have directly interviewed two witnesses. One of them, an Army whistleblower using the pseudonym JP, said that during a past mission, he traveled by Black Hawk helicopter to a sea platform, then boarded an advanced submarine piloted by extraterrestrials who looked like Northern Europeans. He testified that this submarine was capable of space travel and took him to an underwater city beneath a dome resembling Dubai, with a white pyramid. However, no physical evidence was provided to support these claims.
"Unaffected by Missile Attack" UFO Footage Released at US Congressional Hearing
Previously, on the 11th of last month, Eric Burlison, a Missouri State Representative, released UAP-related footage provided by a whistleblower during a House declassification task force hearing. The approximately 50-second video, filmed off the coast of Yemen on October 30 last year, shows an MQ-9 drone tracking a glowing spherical object. Shortly after, another MQ-9 drone fires a weapon presumed to be an AGM-114 Hellfire missile (an anti-tank and multi-purpose air-to-ground missile). The missile-like object, flying rapidly from the left side of the screen, appears to collide with the target, but the sphere continues to fly without exploding.

UFO expert George Knapp, who attended the hearing, said, "Although the Hellfire missile appeared to hit, the object seemed to bounce off," and argued, "The public has the right to see this kind of footage." Representative Burlison added, "This video was provided by a whistleblower and is undergoing independent review," and explained, "We decided to release the footage to ensure transparency from the US government regarding UAPs." At the hearing, two retired US Air Force servicemen appeared as witnesses and shared shocking accounts of their sightings.
Former Air Force military police officer Jeffrey Nuccetelli testified that he had witnessed UAPs multiple times at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. He claimed, "On October 14, 2003, I saw a huge red rectangle floating above two missile defense facilities," and continued, "A rectangular craft larger than a football field hovered silently for about 45 seconds before disappearing at incredible speed." Another witness, former Air Force soldier Dylan Boland, testified that he saw a 100-foot triangular UFO at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia in the summer of 2012.
