Geochang Changpowon, South Gyeongsang's First Provincial Garden
Open Throughout the Chuseok Holiday Without Closure
Geochang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on September 30 that, in celebration of the upcoming Chuseok holiday, Geochang Changpowon Garden will remain open as usual without any closures for seven days, from October 3 to October 9, so that returning visitors and tourists can comfortably enjoy the natural beauty of Geochang during the holiday period.
Families with children can spend enjoyable time at the indoor kids' cafe, while elderly visitors or those with mobility difficulties can relax with a foot bath experience at the healing center. At the tropical plant garden, visitors can appreciate a variety of plants, and families, couples, and friends can ride multi-person bicycles to enjoy the refreshing autumn breeze and the beautiful scenery of the waterside garden together.
Covering a total area of 420,000 square meters, Geochang Changpowon Garden offers different charms throughout all four seasons. In spring, the garden is filled with spectacular blooming irises, while in summer, lotuses, water lilies, and hydrangeas bloom beautifully.
During this Chuseok holiday, the patterned water features around the Nest Observatory create an exotic landscape, and cosmos flowers, which represent autumn, are in full bloom throughout the waterside ecological garden and the barefoot walking trail, making these areas popular photo spots for families and couples.
In October, a chrysanthemum exhibition is scheduled, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the deepening autumn atmosphere. All facilities at Geochang Changpowon Garden will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the holiday period.
County Mayor Koo Inmo stated, "I hope that returning visitors and guests who come home for the holiday will be able to create precious memories with their families at Geochang Changpowon Garden," adding, "We will ensure thorough inspections and management of the facilities to provide a pleasant environment for all."
