Naju City in South Jeolla Province will invite the cultural performance delegation from Taizhou City, China, its international friendship exchange city, to present special cultural and artistic performances and exchange programs.


On September 29, Naju City announced that it has organized a special cultural performance at the "2025 Naju Yeongsangang Festival" to provide citizens with a unique opportunity to experience traditional Chinese culture, enhance the festival's international profile, and further strengthen the friendship between the two cities.


The delegation consists of 22 members, including the Deputy Director of the Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Tourism and Sports, as well as performers and officials from the Taizhou Civic Orchestra and the Taizhou Nantan Theater Troupe.


On the festival stage, the delegation will introduce local culture to citizens and tourists through a variety of performances, including traditional Chinese musical instrument performances, dance, and theater.


The Taizhou City delegation will perform twice during the festival.


On October 11, they will take the stage at the World Culture Performance, and on October 12, they will present traditional Chinese arts at the International Exchange City Invitational Performance.


In addition, the delegation plans to broaden the scope of exchange by visiting major cultural and tourist sites such as the Korea Natural Dyeing Museum, the National Naju Museum, and the Metasequoia Road at the Forest Resources Research Institute, experiencing the history and culture of Naju.


Yoon Byungtae, Mayor of Naju, said, "We are also considering upgrading our relationship to that of sister cities to further strengthen exchange and cooperation between the two cities," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that citizens and tourists can enjoy a wide range of cultures from around the world."
