Automotive Engine Production at Changwon and Jinbuk Plants
Exporting Defense Machinery and Small Automotive Engines to the United States
Delix Corporation, which manufactures automotive and agricultural machinery engines as well as defense industry machinery at the Changwon Industrial Complex and Masan Jinbuk Industrial Complex in Gyeongnam, held a ceremony at its Jinbuk plant to mark its 30th anniversary.
Delix began as Delta Hydraulics in Ungnam-dong, Changwon Industrial Complex, in September 1995, initially focusing on automotive engine processing. The company has since grown to produce not only automotive and agricultural machinery engines for various clients, including Ford, but also defense industry machinery.
Through steady growth, Delix significantly expanded in 2017 by relocating its main production line to the Jinbuk plant, where it established a robotic automation production system. This achievement led to its selection as a Gyeongnam Star Company.
Continuing its growth, Delix developed and mass-produced small engines for export to the United States. As a small-to-medium enterprise, it registered patents for smart factory production and quality management. This year, the company expanded its second Jinbuk plant and entered into a smart factory partnership agreement with Samsung Electronics. With further expansion of the second Jinbuk plant planned for next year, Delix is aiming to achieve 100 billion won in sales.
In his congratulatory address, CEO Nam Seokju expressed his gratitude, saying, "Over the past 30 years, starting from scratch, we have faced challenges and pursued innovation, sometimes encountering crises, but I am thankful for the dedication of our employees who have always worked together unwaveringly."
He added, "Going forward, Delix will not hesitate to seize even greater opportunities for challenge, and our employees will continue to work together to grow the company and contribute to the local community."
At the ceremony held on the 27th, Executive Director Kwak Jeongbong received a merit award, while employee Kim Jongseop was honored for 29 years of service, along with a total of 13 long-service awards. In addition, partner companies such as DKT Corporation received plaques of appreciation.
Before the ceremony, as a Christian CEO, Nam Seokju hosted a worship service attended by over 100 Christian believers from the Changwon area, followed by a celebratory performance by the Bethesda Mission Choir, which the company supports.
