Gokseong County Holds "New Look of Korea" Event Ahead of Chuseok

Environmental Cleanup Activities Throughout the Urban Area

Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province, led by County Governor Cho Sangrae, held the "New Look of Korea" event on the morning of the 29th in the square in front of the county office and throughout the Gokseong-eup area to create a pleasant environment ahead of Chuseok.

More than 100 people participated in the event, including County Governor Cho Sangrae, staff from various departments, officials from related organizations, and members of social groups. Local environmental organizations such as the Gokseong Saemaeul Association and the Blue Gokseong 21 Action Council also joined the effort.

After a brief opening ceremony held in front of the county office, participants divided into groups by department and carried out environmental cleanup activities in their assigned areas. In particular, they focused on campaigns to eradicate illegal dumping of waste and on cleaning up roadsides, making it a meaningful occasion to give Gokseong-eup a fresh new look.

Governor Cho said, "We organized today's event so that residents and visitors can enjoy the holiday in a pleasant environment ahead of Chuseok," and added, "We will continue our efforts together with county residents to create a clean and desirable Gokseong."

Meanwhile, the county plans to use the "New Look of Korea" event as an opportunity to further spread everyday environmental cleanup activities and establish a culture of environmental protection in cooperation with local residents.
